Dans le Noir ? Nantes: our extraordinary team
Today, let's take some time to get to know each other. It's been a few years since the Dans le Noir ? restaurant opened its doors in Nantes, within the Radisson Blu Hotel, right in the heart of the city of the Dukes. Our wonderful team of visually impaired waiters and guides are on hand to guide you through this unique experience.
We'd like to (re)introduce you to the guides working alongside us, who are delighted to welcome you back since June 11, 2021.
Let's start with Ringo. You don't need to see him to smile, Ringo's lilting accent is enough to light up the room he's in. He comes to us straight from the south of Aveyron. He loves to make people laugh, so he's always full of little jokes. Don't hesitate to ask him to tell you one! He also likes to cover classic French songs. Not sure you'd win against him on a blind test night. Finally, he loves poetry, and when we asked him to introduce himself, this is what he sent us:
"To find a memory, take a room in the dark, put a few guests in it. To brighten its souls, add a pinch of waiter, a surprise meal and some smiles. And then you'll see eyes full of happy stars in the dark,
Who are ready to sing "Il est où le bonheur, il est où?"
At the Radisson Blu Hotel, Nantes of course! 😄 A Bientôt!"
That pretty much sums up Ringo, but nothing beats a real encounter, so don't hesitate to come and see us for an unusual sensory experience in Nantes.
Then there's Havva. Havva is a wellness massage practitioner at her MAINDOR institute in Nantes. She is blind and has been doing this for 11 years! It's a pleasure and a joy for her to bring relaxation and well-being to others.
She's also an active woman who enjoys sporting activities such as tandem, indoor sports and Pilates. But as if that wasn't enough, she's also part of our super team, helping to create an unusual and sensory experience during a meal in complete darkness at the Radisson Blu Nantes. It's an opportunity for her to inform the people around her about the difficulties and advances of visual disability. But also to make them understand that a blind or partially sighted person can live like everyone else! Her aim: to ensure that participants in this experience in the dark come away smiling, informed and wanting to come back!
We'll soon be introducing Kamila and Salma, who complete our team of waitress-guides at Dans le Noir ? Nantes.
Ready to meet our team? Then don't hesitate to come and try a meal in the dark, accompanied and guided by one of them.
